Breakfast at Tiffany's
The timeless movie with Audrey Hepburn as Holly Golightly who eats her breakfast at Tiffany's. 1961. Director: Blake Edwards.
Holly Golightly (Audrey Hepburn) is a scatterbrained woman who lives alone in an apartment in New York with her cat Cat. She arrange and goes to partys where almost anything can happen. She eats her breakfast at Tiffany's one morning. She finds out about the weather from a prisoner, Sally Tomato (Alan Reed). And she's one morning wearing a timeless, black dress.
One day a man (George Peppard) moves in, in the same house as Holly. He's name is Paul Varjak and he's an author. A woman called EE (Patricia Neal) "takes care" of Paul. At least she payes all his bills and such things. Holly sees "EE" leave Paul one night and give him some money. The tired Paul and Holly talks and Holly starts calling him Fred because he reminds her of her brother who's in the army.
Paul and Holly is in a weird relationship. One day she seems to adore him, the next day she doesn't want to see him. Paul doesn't know is Holly wants him or not, and she can never give him an answer. Will love find Holly and Paul, or will Paul give up and let Holly spend the rest of her life as she's been living before?
Timeless, classic and wonderful. Blake Edwards has made a great film and Audrey Hepburn makes it even better. But even though I love it and thinks that it's great, I just can't give it more then 3/5. But it's still a wonderful movie. Fun and entertaining. The song "Moon River" which Audrey sings by herself, is really good. Easy and light.
